Lang Pioneer Village Museum, located near Peterborough Ontario is a historic village, reconstructed with buildings from the 1825 to 1899 period. Volunteers act the roles of the pioneers.
For several years, Dr Al Kirby has led Traditional Music Workshops at the village several times a year. Most students play guitar and/or banjo. Al is a local musician and music historian, specialising in traditional music. His PhD thesis focuses on traditional music in rural Ontario, particularly around Douro and Keene.
